Continuous Professional Development for CHWs
Professional Development Forums (PDFs)
Profession Development Forums provide Community Health Workers with professional development opportunities so they can learn virtually and engage in timely discussions relevant to their practice and skillset.
PDFs are similar to "lunch-n-learns". They are 60-minute discussions that cover a variety of topics including:
*CHW Core competencies
*Current events
*Public Health trends
*Other advanced training topics
PDFs are a great opportunity to network, discover and share resources, and learn new skills. Employers frequently support CHW professional development by allowing CHWs to attend workshops during work time, so ask your supervisor if you can attend.
Continuing education credit is not currently available for any PDF topic. Enroll in these trainings for free!
